The funeral of one of the teenagers involved in a collision between an e-scooter and a bus in Waterford last week has taken place this afternoon.
Gilbert Collins from Ardmore Park, Ballybeg was 15 years old.
A small crowd of mourners gathered this afternoon for a prayer service in remembrance of Gilbert Collins.
The teenager was involved in a tragic accident on the Cork Road when he was travelling on an e-scooter with 17-year-old Avuzwah Idris who also died.
Classmates, family members, and friends gathered in condolence outside the Tom Hennesy's Funeral home in the city for the service.
The 15-year-old was a student at St Paul’s Community College in Lisduggan, as well as playing for Waterford Crystal Football Club.
Gilbert was laid to rest at the Kilbarry Cemetry in Ballybeg this afternoon where hundreds attended, with the funeral for Avuzwah taking place this coming Thursday.
