Gardaí are targeting the purchase of sexual services in Waterford.
Officers stopped and spoke with 23 people suspected of paying for sex in eight if its divisions last week, including Waterford.
Two days of action were carried out as part of Operation Quest.
Gardaí say they're determined to end the demand for prostitution and protect victims of human trafficking.
Operation Quest focused on Waterford, Cork, Dublin, Mayo, Sligo and Louth.
It follows a number of recent arrests by officers investigating attacks on sex workers, mainly in the capital.
Officers are warning more stop and search days will be carried out throughout 2020.
