
Gardaí are investigating recent burglaries in West Waterford.
These incidents follow a spate of similar burglaries which occurred in the area recently.
Rural burglaries
Overnight on December 6th into December 7th, a number of items were stolen from Knocknagranagh in Dungarvan.
The items were a silver galvanized 8 ft by 5ft double axle Ivor Williams trailer, a red petrol Honda hydraulic power pack, and a green block splitter.
There was a theft of a power washer overnight on December 9th.
The Yamaha Diesel Power Washer, was taken from a milking parlour in Knockaneris in Clashmore.
“If you have been offered these items for sale or can assist with the investigation, please report it,” said Crime Prevention Officer at Waterford Garda Station, Sgt Deirdre O’Neill.
Securing vehicles
Meanwhile, in Ballinroad, Dungarvan, a vehicle was ransacked on December 10th between 3.30am and 6.21am where it was parked overnight.
Another vehicle was broken into between December 5th and 8th in Rockfield, Cappagh.
A number of items were stolen including a Red Honda Welder Generator and a Hitachi angle grinder.
Gardaí say there was significant loss to the owner.
