Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men who were involved in an unprovoked attack on a third man on the outskirts of Waterford city on Wednesday April 2nd.
The assault took place at approximately 5pm in the Tramore Road Business Park.
Two men, believed to be in their early 20s, wearing black or grey tracksuits with hoodies up and their faces covered approached a young man as he left his place of work in the business park and assaulted him with a hurley, causing him facial injuries.
They made their escape on foot towards Waterford City passing Dunphy’s Shop towards the Circle K garage on The Manor.
In a statement to WLR, Gardaí said: “This would have been a busy time on this road and we are asking anyone with information to contact Unit B at Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300 or via our confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
