Gardaí in Waterford are investigating the theft of tools from vehicles in the city.

A number of work vans were targeted, and work tools taken from these vans, in hotel car parks on Tuesday night, August 19th between 10pm and 1am.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to such incidents to contact them at Waterford Garda Station or on the Garda Confidential Line.

Inspector Shay Keevans from Waterford Garda Station told WLR that Gardaí are urging tradesmen to secure their tools and park in locations with CCTV.
