Gardaí in Waterford are investigating a robbery at a service station in the city which occurred recently.

The incident happened at Walsh’s Texaco on the Cork Road on Wednesday March 12th at approximately 9.15pm.

A man dressed in black wearing a black balaclava demanded money from staff at the tills while brandishing a knife.

Speaking to WLR, Garda Ian O’Byrne from Waterford Garda Station appealed for information.

“Were you in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious or have dash cam footage of a vehicle that left the scene?” he said.

“Gardaí have reviewed CCTV footage and are asking for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact the Crime Office at Waterford Garda Station on 051-305300.”
