
Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for information in relation to a hit and run in Mid County Waterford.
The incident occurred on the R676 between Leamybrien and Mahon Bridge on Sunday September 21st.
A cyclist was knocked from his bike between 7.30pm and 7.40pm near the bridge over the River Tay at Gortnalaught.
A car struck the handlebars of the bike and knocked the cyclist to the ground. The driver did not remain at the scene.
According to Gardaí, the casing of the left wing mirror of the vehicle was recovered and it has been established that the suspect vehicle is a gun metal grey colour Seat Leon manufactured in 2018 or after.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Kilmacthomas Garda Station, Tramore Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
