It's estimated that thousands of euros worth of damage has been caused to the cricket grounds in Gracedieu in Waterford.
It includes damage to equipment and the clubhouse of the local cricket club.
Destruction of the special matting for the ‘crease’ was part of the damage.
It's believed the damage was caused on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Gardaí are investigating and are looking for witnesses or information.
Members of the cricket club say they are devastated with the damage but are intend on fundraising and restocking.
