Gardaí in Waterford are investigating a burglary which occurred at a takeaway in Ballybeg.

The incident happened on Tuesday September 30th between the hours of 12 midnight and 10am.

The Ballybeg Pizza and Kebab shop was broken into via a side door which was forced open.

Scenes of crime investigators have attended the scene and some CCTV has been obtained.

Crime Prevention Officer at Waterford Garda Station, Sgt Deirdre O’Neill, has pointed out that like many retail premises no cash is kept on the premises overnight.
