Gardaí in Ferrybank issue €150 fine to van parked in disabled bay

Gardaí have issued a fine to a motorist who parked in a disabled bay in Ferrybank.

The driver of the van was issued a Fixed Charged Notice of €150 for the offence.

In response, the driver of the van told Gardaí that he thought it would be ok because "he parks there regularly".

'Operation Enable' is a Garda operation which was launched in 2017 and over 12,000 fines have been issued to drivers who since then.

Offences include drivers who park in disabled spots and on footpaths.
