Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a serious Mooncoin road collision involving a car and a van early on Tuesday, 25 November. The crash happened at about 12.30am on the L3401 in the townland of Clogga, between Piltown and Mooncoin.

The driver of the car, a man in his late teens, sustained serious injuries. Emergency crews brought him to University Hospital Waterford for treatment. A male juvenile who was a passenger also attended the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carried out a full technical examination at the scene. Officers are now seeking any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the Mooncoin road collision.

They urge road users with dash-cam or camera footage from the area to contact Gardaí. Anyone with information should call Waterford Garda Station on 051 305 300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
