Gardai are investigating more damage to a playground at Farronshoneen in Waterford city last night (Wednesday).
Firefighters had to put out a blaze at the children’s play area when a wheelie bin was moved onto the area and set alight.
Gardai attended the scene. Firefighters attended the scene around 7.45pm
It’s understood council workers will examine the damage this morning (Thursday) and it’s expected the playground will be cordoned off and shut for a number of days.

There have been more than half a dozen reports of anti-social behaviour in the area in the past few weeks.
