The funeral of Avu Idris is due to take place today.
The 17-year-old died while travelling on an e-scooter that collided with a bus last week.
Avu, from Crystal Mews, Cork Road, Waterford, and formerly of South Africa, died in the incident in Waterford City in the early hours of Thursday last along with his friend Gilbert Collins.
His Funeral Service will take place this morning at Maranatha Church from 10 am with removal at 12 noon to Kilbarry Cemetery for burial.
Avu was remembered for being a lover of sport, playing with his club Villa FC.
Gilbert Collins was laid to rest on Tuesday afternoon where hundreds gathered at Kilbarry Cemetry to pay their respects.
