The funeral details have been announced for the Tramore man who died in a road traffic collision this week.

Michael O’Sullivan, late of Cullencastle, Tramore, died peacefully at University Hospital Waterford surrounded by his family on Friday.

Mr O’Sullivan was injured as a result of a road traffic collision which occurred on Wednesday evening at Cullencastle.

His death notice reads that he was predeceased by his beloved and always missed brother Declan and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Lillian, his son Nicholas, his daughters Fiona, Heather and Rebecca; his treasured and adoring grandchildren Mya, Maisie, Dolly, Frankie, Gustav, James, Katie and Finn.

Michael will be forever remembered by his loving parents Michael and Mary, his sisters Margaret and Clare; all his brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, co-workers and many many friends.

The O’Sullivan family have thanked all the emergency services, medical carers and all the staff in University Hospital Waterford who helped tirelessly supporting Michael before he died.

Michael’s reposal will take place at his family home, Cullencastle, Tramore on Monday 14th July from 5pm until 7pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 15th of July at 10am at The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore.

A private cremation will take place on Wednesday 16th July.

On Friday evening at Waterford Courthouse, a 67-year-old American-Irish man was remanded on bail on a charge of dangerous driving causing death in relation to Wednesday’s incident.
