Funeral details have been announced for the victim of Friday's fatal road collision in Slieverue, South Kilkenny.
75-year-old Mary Grennan (née Kirwan) from Ballycurran, Tullogher, Co.Kilkenny and formerly of Gaulstown, Glenmore died in the two vehicle incident on the N25 at Luffany which occured at approximately 5.50pm.
Mrs Grennan, the driver of one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, a man aged in his 30s, and a passenger, a woman aged in her 20s, were brought to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Mrs Grennan is survived by her husband Paddy, children John, Bridget, James, Declan and Patrick.
Her death notice reads that she is also deeply missed by her sisters Breda, Kathleen, Eileen, Josie and Emily, brothers James, Michael and John, uncle Stephen O'Connor, son-in-law Brendan, daughters-in-law Breda, Mary, Irene and Aisling, her twelve grand-children, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Reposal takes place in Doyle's Funeral Home, The Old Rectory, Rosbercon, New Ross from 3pm on Tuesday 7th January concluding with prayers at 7pm.
Funeral to arrive at St. David's Church, Listerlin for 12noon Requiem Mass on Wednesday 8th January, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
