Gardai in Waterford have been granted a further extension of 24 hours to question four men arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the Cleaboy Post Office in the City on Thursday morning.
The application was made at a special sitting of Waterford District Court.
The four men, two from Waterford, are being questioned at Waterford Garda Station.
The incident occurred at 11.20am on Thursday when three masked men entered the post office armed with a sawn-off shotgun and demanded money.
They were detained by gardai in the Carriganore woods a short time later.
The getaway car, a red renault laguna, was found on fire nearby.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 11am and 12 noon on Thursday and who may have dash cam or cctv footage to contact them on 051 305300.
