The first births in Waterford in 2021 have taken place.
A baby girl was delivered at University Hospital Waterford at 39 minutes past two.
Meanwhile Brodie McWilliams Brown was one of Ireland's first 2021 babies.
He was born at the National Maternity Hospital just four seconds after midnight.
Brodie's family all comes from Sallynoggin in Dublin.
His mother Jennifer McWilliams said she didn't realise her baby would be among the first of 2021. "I had no clue until I was induced. We didn't actually think he was going to be the first," she laughed.
