Fire at Waterford Penneys store ‘under control’

A small fire which occurred at a Penneys outlet in Waterford City has been brought under control.
It’s understood a small fire broke out in the staff area earlier this afternoon between 12.30pm and 1pm.
Staff were evacuated temporarily into John Roberts’ Square and no injuries or significant damage was reported.
The store is back open as normal.
