A popular local eatery has made the decision to close their doors following significant roadworks in the Ferrybank area.

Cavaliere brothers Adriano and Dario, owners of Enzo's has said the lack of progress on the Ferrybank roadworks, together with 'severe lack of parking' left them with no alternative.

In a statement released by the brothers, they reflected on the economic impact on their business.

"The closure of Marymount for two months and the lack of progress on roadworks and severe lack of parking on Fountain Street has effectively rendered our business unviable in the short term."

They added; "From a financial perspective our turnover is down 80% since the roadworks began."

However, they are keen to stress they are not closing down, with plans to redevelop and re-open the Deli as soon as possible.

Looking to the near future, Adriano and Dario said: "We are committed to developing the sit down restaurant next door once the roadworks are completed."

Their popular pop-up pizza will always be a feature in the near future.
