Farmers are continuing to protest in Dublin city centre despite the Agriculture Minister meeting with them today.

Five farmers that met with Michael Creed agreed to leave on the condition that if no progress was made by the 15th of December, they would return.

However, the majority of the other farmers who have parked their tractors outside the Shelbourne Hotel are not happy with the outcome of the meeting.

Farmers are demanding that the beef taskforce be reconvened and for injunctions against two farmers to be lifted.

Some aren't happy about comments Minister Creed made in the Dáil yesterday.

He said that death threats were made against management at C&D foods in Co Longford during the beef crisis protests but farmers say no such threats were made against the factory.

Meanwhile, the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said the Government has no power to increase beef prices.
