A 21-year-old woman sustained injuries following a 30ft fall from the cliff area in Benvoy Cove this afternoon.
At approximately 1.20pm this afternoon, emergency services responded to calls that the cliff edge had given way and a woman had fallen 30ft.
She was transferred to University Hospital Waterford with the assistance of Rescue 117 and the National Ambulance Service Advanced Paramedic. Bonmahon Coastguard were also in attendance.
The woman's injuries are understood to be non life-threatening.
