Emergency services are at the scene of a traffic collision on the outskirts of Dungarvan this evening.

The incident involving a pedestrian happened at around 6.40pm in the Coolagh area of The Burgery.

WLR News understands that one person is being airlifted to hospital by the Irish Air Corps.

One lane of the road is closed and diversions are in place at the Tournore junction.

It’s expected to remain closed for several hours.
