A dedicated Ladies Gaelic Football pitch and a new walking track at WIT are among the big projects to receive funding today.
A €4.8 million package was announced for clubs across the county today.
65 Waterford sports clubs were successful under this latest round of funding for the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme.
Among those receiving especially large amounts are Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association.
They've been awarded €150,000 for the development of a playing field and facilities.
WIT have been granted €210,000 for a new 5km walking and jogging track.
Gaultier GAA Club are developing a new full-sized grass playing pitch and have been granted €115,000 towards it.
And Waterford Crystal Football Club have got €112,000 to put in new astro turf.
