Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber has been announced as a national winner of the Menopause Champion Award at the 2025 Menopause Hub Academy Awards, held in Dublin.
The Chamber, led by CEO Jenny Beresford, received the top honour jointly with retail giant Lidl.
The national awards recognise organisations and individuals leading the way in menopause-inclusive workplaces.
Finalists included major names such as Deloitte, Diageo, Irish Distillers, Allianz, Aldi, and Trinity College Dublin.
National impact
Jenny Beresford said: “To stand alongside and win beside organisations of such size and resources is extraordinary. It’s a testament to our Chamber’s innovation, creativity, drive, ambition, and resourcefulness — and to the belief that small organisations can make a national impact.”
The event recognises organisations across Ireland that are paving the way for menopause-friendly workplaces and creating inclusive cultures where women can thrive throughout all stages of life.
The awards were MC’d by Radio & TV Broadcaster Lucy Kennedy, with special guests Sinéad Moriarty, bestselling author, and Gina London, Emmy Award Winner and former CNN Correspondent.
This latest recognition strengthens the Chamber’s growing national reputation for progressive workplace leadership. It follows the creation of the Menopause in the Workplace Support Pack, policy templates, and tailored awareness training for employers.
New four part series
To continue this momentum, the Chamber has launched a new four part lunchtime online Menopause in the Workplace Series, running each Tuesday at 1pm from October 14th to November 4th.
These 40-minute online sessions will cover:
HR Considerations for Menopause Conversations, Menopause & Wellness: Mindfulness for Menopause, Menopause & Women’s Health: Boosting Wellness for the Change of Life Season, Menopause & Neurodiversity including Bone Health, HRT – Fact and Fiction
