Uisce Éireann has completed a temporary repair at the Dungarvan Water Treatment Plant following a mechanical pump failure that disrupted water supply to customers in the area. While the issue has been resolved, it will take time for the network to recover fully and for normal supply to return to all affected customers.

To help the network recharge and return full supply to all customers, night-time water restrictions will be in place from 11 pm this evening until 7 am tomorrow. Customers may continue to experience low water pressure or intermittent outages throughout Friday as final repairs are completed.

The impacted areas include Abbeyside, Ballinroad, Clonea, Knocknagrannagh, Burgery, Ballinacourty, Dungarvan, and surrounding parts of County Waterford.

Maura Phelan, Water Operations Manager at Uisce Éireann, said: “We understand how disruptive this is for our customers. I want to thank the community for their continued patience and urge everyone to conserve water as supply returns. Our priority is to complete repairs safely and efficiently to minimise further inconvenience.”
