Planning permission is being sought by a Dungarvan nursing home to provide another 22 rooms.
The application was lodged with Waterford City and County Council earlier this week.
An application was submmited this week by CareChoice Nursing Home, Tournore Meadows, The Burgery, Dungarvan.
CareChoice are seeking a two-storey extension to the existing nursing home to cater for 22 single en-suite bedrooms and other associated rooms.
Demolition works are also sought to enable the proposed extension as well as permissions for associated site works.
The application was lodged on May 14th and there is no due date as of yet for a decision.
CareChoice Dungarvan has a total of 109 en-suite bedrooms spread over two floors.
