Planning permission is being sought for a 24-bed hostel in Dungarvan.
The proposed development would be in the heart of the town on O'Connell Street.
Planning permission was lodged to Waterford City and County Council on December 11th by applicant Edel McDonagh.
The plans seek permission for the partial demolition of the existing two-storey terraced building at 64 O’Connell Street.
The development would see teh construction of a 4-storey building with a ground floor shop unit and 24 bedrooms spread across three upper floors.
A number of sections on the initial application have been rendered invalid by the local authority, though they are invited to resubmit.
