Dungarvan firefighters hosted their annual Christmas collection in Grattan Square on Saturday, the 21st of December 2024, where they seen huge local support and raised €6,404.
Some of the recipients at their recently held presentation night were Autism Support Dungarvan, Cass' Dravet Journey, Dungarvan Men's Shed, Dungarvan Brass Band, and Bonmahon Lifeboat.
Firefighters at the station say: " This is why we do it, every year the people of Dungarvan show their generosity for our bucket collection, and it is that generosity that allows us to help support local causes, as well as local charities. It is also a great time for us to engage with our local community and show our fire appliances to the public and also to the kids, they just love to see our aerial ladder that hovers over the town and how high it can go!"
