The Acting Chief Medical Officer has appealed to everyone in Waterford to do all they can to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Dr Ronan Glynn took to twitter this evening to highlight three counties where the numbers of cases are "already high and continuing to rise fast".
Dr Glynn singled out Waterford, Louth and Donegal - stating that 103 cases have been diagnosed in Waterford over the last fortnight.

A week ago, the incidence rate locally was 55/100,000 it's now 89/100,000.
Dr Glynn added that we are not powerless in dictating the course of this disease
- Wash your hands regularly
- Take a step back and keep your distance
- Assume you or those you meet may be infectious and act accordingly
- Wear a face covering
- Avoid crowds
- Download the Covidtracker app
- Do not go to work if you have any concerning symptoms - isolate and phone your GP
- Encourage one another
Dr Glynn also appealed to people, regardless of where they live, to try meet half as many people this week as they did last week.
