Members of the organising committee of Darkness Into Light in Waterford City have handed over a cheque for €53,667.25 to the Waterford branch of Pieta House.
This was the proceeds of this year's Darkness Into Light Walk in Waterford City which was held on Saturday 11th May.
Des Purcell, Chairman of Waterford City Darkness Into Light committee, thanked everyone involved in
the organising of this event last May and he paid a special tribute to the local organising committee and all the many volunteer groups
and individuals who help to make it all happen.
He also said that next year's Darkness Into Light Run/Walk will take place on Saturday 9th May 2020.
