Gardai have discovered human skeletal remains of a child in Donabate in North Dublin.

They have also named the child at the centre of the investigation, saying they believe these to be the remains of Daniel Aruebose.

Gardai took control of a site on Donabate on the 1st of September as part of an investigation into a missing child who hadn’t been seen in four years and was believed to be seven years old now.

Today, officers say they have discovered remains believed to be those of Daniel Aruebose.

They say the remains will be subject to careful and sensitive exhumation from the current burial site.

Formal identification will be carried out, including DNA analysis.

Daniel is known to have lived at the Gallery Apartments in Donabate, and concerns were raised by TUSLA to An Garda Síochána on Friday 29th August 2025.

Gardai carried out a technical exam of an apartment in The Gallery Apartments on the 31st of August, as well as house to house inquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
