Waterford’s Comeraghs Wild Festival is celebrating its tenth birthday in style.

Events start with an open-air concert at Curraghmore House and Gardens tomorrow (Saturday)  and conclude the following weekend with a Feast in the Forest featuring locally-sourced, fresh produce.

Tomorrow's open-air concert in the courtyard at Curraghmore features The High Kings and Ceol and begins at 6pm.

The festival celebrations continue the following Thursday to Sunday, July 11th to 14th and will include a mix of activities in the mountains and in the sea, live music, dance and outdoor events celebrating the generations-old customs, history, culture and natural beauty of the Comeragh Mountains, Copper Coast and Nire Valley region.

Festival spokesperson, Bernadette Drohan, said: “The Comeraghs Wild Festival has gone from strength to strength and our tenth birthday celebrations will be extra special. Our opening concert in Curraghmore will be a magical evening and we’ve limited ticket numbers to make it an extra special, intimate evening for all."

She added: “We’re very thankful to our voluntary organising committee and to Waterford City & County Council for their support again this year.”
