Crews deal with another large fire in Waterford City

Crews from Waterford Fire Service are attending another large fire in the city this afternoon (Thursday).
The fire has broken out on land behind the former Waterford Crystal Leisure Centre site.
It follows a large fire in the Williamstown area yesterday which resulted in the temporary evacuation of some residents from a neighbouring estate.
A Yellow high temperature weather warning has been issued for Waterford by Met Éireann.
It’s valid from midday on Saturday until 6am on Sunday and applies to the entire country.
Maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C combined with night-time minima in excess of 15°C are expected.
