The number of cases of Covid-19 doubled in parts of Waterford last week.
That's according to the latest breakdown of the virus by local electoral area covering the first two weeks in December (1st to 14th).
There were 22 cases in the Dungarvan electoral area, up from 10 during the two-week period that ended on December 7th.
Dungarvan was the only local area with an incidence rate above the national average. The national average at the time was 84.7.
Elsewhere, the number of cases fell - to 9 in Tramore/City West and Waterford City South.
There were 18 cases in City East and 14 cases in Portlaw/Kilmacthomas
For the third week in a row, there were fewer than 5 cases in Lismore.
One area in Co Donegal had a 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 that's more than nine times the national average
The Carndonagh LEA was the worst in the country, at nearly 796.
Two other areas in Donegal had rates of over three times the national average.
Milford LEA's was 276 and Buncrana's was 273.
Some other border areas, including parts of Monaghan, Cavan and Louth, were also badly hit.
But after Carndonagh, the second-worst in the country was Claremorris LEA in Co Mayo, at 409.
The third highest was Muinebeag in Co Carlow, at 326, followed by Castlecomer in Co Kilkenny, at 305.
