The number of cases in each of Waterford's Local Electoral Areas is staying relatively low.
Up to Monday, 5 new cases had been confirmed in the previous seven days in Tramore/City West, 28 in City South, and 13 in City East.
The Dungarvan, Lismore, and Portlaw/Kilmacthomas areas all recorded fewer than five new cases.
The incidence rate nationally is now at almost 132 cases per 100,000 people.
However, it's now below that in each of our electoral areas.
Yesterday (Thursday, April 15th) the Department of Health reported 15 additional cases in Waterford.
While 840 people have tested positive for covid 19, as a result of getting a test at one of the country's walk-in centres.
Last week, a centre opened at WIT's college street campus.
The positivity rate so far in the centres is 2.78 per cent, with some facilities having rates as high as 6 percent.
