Health officials have reported an additional 320 cases of covid 19 today, but there have been no more deaths.
The total death toll from the disease remains at 4,718.
Over 923,000 vaccine doses have been administered in Ireland as of April the 2nd.
It's widely expected that the nation's total will exceed 1 million in the middle of this week.
There was no county breakdown given for the third day in a row. The latest figures for Waterford showed a five-day moving average of cases of 5.
Meanwhile, at University Hospital Waterford as of 8pm on Sunday evening there were 7 patients being cared for on site - 1 of those in ICU.
Nationally, 260 patients are in hospital with the disease, with 58 in ICU.
