Councillor seeks road safety improvements in Portlaw

“I know we’re reducing the speed limits, but reducing them and people obeying them are two different things.”
Those were the thoughts of Independent Councillor Declan Clune who spoke during April’s Comeragh district meeting of Waterford City and County Council.
The Portlaw based Cllr spoke regarding his local area where he name checked a number of busy areas, including William St, Queen St and Coolfinn.
“It’s just getting quicker and quicker and the traffic doesn’t seem to slow down or stop,” he said.
