"We do have a lot of anti-social behaviour in West Waterford."
Those are the thoughts of Sinn Fein Councillor Donnchadh Mulcahy who spoke to WLR News recently about the increasing trend in the far western region of County Waterford.
This comes after a range of recent incidents in the area.
Cappoquin Railway Football Club has been subject to a number of vandalism attempts whilst Councillor Mulcahy's hometown of Tallow has also felt the rise in recent weeks.
"The best way to counteract this is to pull our communities tighter together."
"The biggest message I have from An Garda Síochána is we need to report. So if anyone is seeing any issues out there just please report to the Gardaí. The rise is going on, I think it's important that we keep reporting any anti-social behaviour."
