Council to develop water activity facilities in Tramore

Waterford City and County Council intends to develop a water activity centre at the public toilets on Tramore's Lower Prom.

In a Part 8 planning report, Waterford Council has given notice of its proposal to carry out developments consisting of the extension and alteration to the existing public toilet facilities at the Lower Prom.

The project is based on accommodating a water activity centre providing changing facilities, showers and beach wheelchair storage.

The site is in the ownership of Waterford Council - and the local authority is embarking on the project with Fáilte Ireland which has identified the need for water-based activities to be developed throughout the country.

Submission or observations on the project can be made until July 31st.
