Waterford Council say there is a major burst water main in the City Centre.

Crews are onsite at the moment. There is no estimated time when the service will be back.

The pipe that is leaking is the main city centre supply and the council are on site and waiting for machines to dig ground .

The Council will try to put some areas back on line in the next few hours possibly by diverting valves.

The main is asbestos which makes it more difficult .

The Council say customers will have discolouration of water when the repair is finally completed.
