A fundraiser to secure personal protective equipment (PPE) for two County Waterford facilities has raised more than €7,000 since it was created last night.

A gofundme page was set up by Mayor of Waterford City and County John Pratt in aid of St Carthages House, Lismore and Dungarvan Community Hospital.

The page features a fun video showing the local Garda, firefighters, healthcare workers, the Tallow Dramatic Society and local residents lip-synching to Queen track ‘I Want to Break Free’.
