Proposals aimed at averting industrial action by over 100 cleaning staff at University Hospital Waterford next week will be put to workers tonight.
Talks between Momentum Cleaning Services and Unite, the union representing the workers involved, were held yesterday at the Workplace Relations Commission.
Momentum took over the cleaning services contract at the hospital from ISS facilities in early September.
A ballot on proposals on a number of issues regarding changes to payment systems will be put to the Unite members at a meeting in the Keyser Street office tonight.
A full withdrawal of labour was due to begin on Monday morning.
