Child treated for injuries following fire in Tramore’s Sands Hotel

A child was treated for injuries following a fire at The Sands Hotel premises in Tramore.
The fire is believed to have been contained to one bedroom in the premises at approximately 10.15pm on Monday, February 2nd.
Emergency services attended the scene including the Fire Service, the National Ambulance Service, and Gardaí.
A child was transferred to University Hospital Waterford by ambulance.
He was treated for symptoms of smoke inhalation and a small burn to the skin.
His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.
Gardaí are not treating the incident as suspicious.
