A new song by a Dungarvan Pharmacist and the Elf Orchestra has just been released.
From medicine to music, and from pharmacist to lyricist, ‘Santa I Love You’ was penned by Waterford Pharmacist Joe Kelly.
It was originally written as an antidote to the constraints of the pandemic.
"It’s very much written from a child’s perspective," Joe said.
The song focuses on Christmas spirit and the joy it brings to children.
It is brought to life by the Elf Orchestra (David Hennessey Stage School), under the auspices of David Hayes, Musical Director.
All proceeds from the song will go to the Children’s Health Foundation of Ireland (CHI), which provides support to families of any sick children attending any of the CHI hospitals or urgent care centres.
The group have set a goal of €5,000 for the charity and have raised over half of that since releasing the song.
You can listen to the song here.
Donations can be made by visiting this website.
Alternatively, donation buckets will be available in Kelly’s shortly.
