The CEO of Waterford Chamber of Commerce says the development of a motorway linking Waterford to Limerick is of critical importance to the growth of the region.
Gerald Hurley is calling on the government to make investment into the regional transport network a top priority in this year’s budget.
He says the proposals for a new motorway are being heavily backed by businesses in the South East.
He says it would bring a variety of benefits.
