Gardaí in Dungarvan are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault that occurred at the junction of Cook Street and Mill Street, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford, on the night of Friday, 17th October 2025, at approximately 11:50 p.m.

A man in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries, where he remains in critical condition.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has information or video footage — including dash-cam recordings — to come forward.
