A 46 year old man has been arrested following the discovery of €131,000 worth of cannabis in Waterford city.
183 cannabis plants were recovered last night as part of an intelligence-led operation into the sale and supply of drugs in Waterford.
Gardaí attached to the Waterford Divisional Drug unit assisted by members of the Crime Unit carried out a search of the house in Lismore Park under warrant at around 9pm last night (Sunday).
The house contained a large growing facility which was ventilated and insulated to grow cannabis.
A 46 year old man was arrested at the scene, and he is now being questioned at Waterford Garda Station.
