A local councillor has condemed recent anti-social behaviour in Dungarvan.
Earlier this week, footage of an incident was widely circulated on social media.
Labour Councillor Thomas Phelan has condemned such behaviour and told 'Déise Today' that such activity is not reflective of the West Waterford town.
"If people have disputes, they should be handled by the proper authorities," he said.
"The actions of a minority of people are so unfair on people living in the area, law abiding citizens doing no harm to anyone."
Cllr Phelan said "calmness must prevail" and also called for an increased Garda presence.
"Obviously Gardaí can't be everywhere and can't prevent everything, but I think a visible presence might deter some people," he said.
He also called on people who witness such anti social behaviour to avoid filming and sharing it.
