A local Councillor has called for a meeting between Waterford Council and emergency services regarding N25 diversions.
Those were the thoughts of Fine Gael Councillor Liam Brazil regarding recent traffic collisions and diversions.
"Since our last meeting, the N25 has closed on three occasions. We need to have a plan in place for this going forward. If we don't, another accident is going to happen," he said.
The issue was raised at the most recent Comeragh district meeting after a series of incidents took place in recent months.
Cllr Brazil claimed that there doesn't seem to be a plan in place in regards to diversions after accidents occur.
Waterford City and County Council Chief Executive Sean McKeown acknowledged the suggestion and stated a review of the protocol for diversions should take place.
