Calls have been made for urgent action on ongoing anti-social behaviour by youths in Waterford City.
There have been numerous incidents in the Farronshoneen, Ardkeen and Dunmore Road areas in recent weeks.
Speaking to WLR, local councillors outlined the extent of the issue.
Independent Councillor David Daniels said there are many "vulnerable residents" who are worried by the "hooliganism" taking place.
He said issues are also ongoing in the People's Park.
"It needs to stop and we need more Gardaí on the ground," he said.
Meanwhile, Fianna Fáil Councillor Adam Wyse said there are numerous activities in the local area which youths can engage in as an alternative to such behaviour.
He also urged people concerned by ongoing incidents to avoid "vigilantism".
Also speaking to WLR, Inspector Shay Keevans from Waterford Garda Station confirmed extra patrols will be taking place across Waterford City as part of Operation Tombola this Halloween.
He urged the public to report any incidents of criminality.
